"But...," Sharon started to object.
"There's no time for 'buts'. Follow me."
As Jim and Sharon followed Henri back out into the corridor, shutting the security doors behind them as they went, the UNA man went on: "I promise that we'll try to rescue the women when we can, but there's no time now. The interesting thing about the thing in Sharon's hair is that my scan indicated that it's unlikely to be a ChangeCorp device."
"Whose, then?" Jim asked.
"My guess is that it belonged to the Men in Gray."
"But how could it have got there?" Sharon asked.
"There were probably plenty of opportunities during our wedding reception," Jim said. It didn't occur to either Jim or Sharon that their limo driver might have been working for the MiG.
Meanwhile, Henri was looking at another electronic device, twisting it this way and that and taking a few paces first in one direction and then in another. "I think Karen's in there," he said after about thirty seconds, pointing at a door just up the corridor. He took out what looked like some sort of blaster.
"Before you use that on the door, let me see if my security code will get us in," Jim said. Somewhat to his surprise, it did. Inside:
