"Eh, I'm fine." Jim said.
The others could hear faint moaning sounds.
Sharon went down to fetch him.
"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Jim said, as she helped him get up.
Karen and Henri went down to join them.
"Let me check..." Henri said, as he pulled a device out of a pocket they hadn't noticed.
He held it in front of Jim, and it emitted a light which ran over him.
"Will that heal him?" Sharon asked.
Karen let out a light laugh.
"No, no," Henri said, "I wish we had a device like that. This just checks for concussions."
The device beeped.
"He's fine. Let's go." Henri said, and began traveling down the next set
of stairs.
"Where are we going anyway?" Karen asked.
"There's a room downstairs which doesn't inhibit Inter-Alt travel. It's the only way to get out without risking an encounter on ground level." Henri responded.
They traveled in silence, until Karen asked, "So, what women?"
