"You murderers!" Arsenal wailed as he watched Ollie's life force being sucked out of his body. "I'll kill you all for this!"
Mary Tyler Moore turned toward him with a twisted smile on her face. "Do him too," she ordered. And then Arsenal's trunks were jerked down to his ankles and a big fat outlaw with a breast growing out of his head sat down on his back. "This is going to hurt you a lot more than its gonna hurt me," he snarled and then plunged one of Green Arrow's mana-arrows into the young man's ass. Arsenal screamed as the shaft tore through his tender ass chute, but when Moore activated the arrow his screams reached a new and hellish crescendo - his trembling lips writhed with pain wracked howls that exploded from his mouth with raw agony.
And the machine that was hooked up to Robin thrummed as this new source of power flowed into it. And Robin began to change, she began to heal. Her wounds disappeared, her body became flushed with the rosy glow of health, her formerly almost-lifeless limbs bulged with strength and energy.
And then she coughed up some blood, sat up, and looked at her crew with a smile. "Fuckin' damn, but I feel good!" And then she addressed her estwhile killer, "Hallelujah, come here." The woman with the halo stepped forward. Robin eyed her and then said, "You understood my command perfectly and acted without hesitation. And it took Green Arrow completely by surprise, exactly as I planned. You're getting a bonus for this." And then Hallelujah helped Robin up and the two women hugged.
"ROBIN!" a shout suddenly exploded in the forest glade. Robin turned and stared at Wonder Woman. The Amazon hero glared at Robin and cried out, "You have what you want. You're alive and free, and Green Arrow and Arsenal are at your mercy. Now STOP this! You're killing them!!"
Robin glanced at the two fallen Supers. Each was feebly writhing on the ground, the mana-arrows shoved up their butts draining them of their mana, stealing their very life-force. And for just a fleeting moment Wonder Woman thought she saw a hint of compassion cross Robin's eyes.
But before Robin could give her answer, one of her Marys yelled out, "Hey boss, we've got a problem here." Robin rushed over to the outlaw, who was monitoring the large blockish mana collector device. "There's some kind of weird overload building up." Robin looked at the readout and said, "Shut off the machine, quick." The Mary tried, but to no avail. "This things gonna blow!" the Mary wailed and backed off. But Robin stayed her ground and worked furiously at the controls. But nothing was working, she couldn't shut it down, and the mana-arrows were beginning to glow with a bright, pulsing, dangerous glow.
Mort rushed over to help her but now a high pitched whine could be heard coming from the machine and both Green Arrow and Arsenal were becoming enveloped in shining balls of energy. In desperation Mort did what he usually did, he took matters into his own hands and solved the problem in the most direct fashion possible. He tore out half of the circuitry in the machine and ripped away all of the mana leads.
And then he grabbed Robin and hurled her away from the explosively unstable mana-machine.
"MORT!" D.J. cried, but her voice was cut off as she shielded her eyes from a giant, blindingly brilliant explosion of light whose epicenter was almost exactly where the short, elfin morpher was standing.
