"Hello? Oh, Jill, Sharon, come on in." The woman athat greeted them was both familiar and strange. Rick's mother, now transplanted into the identity of Samantha Bourne was slimmer and bustier than the boy's mother had been. The man with her was a complete stranger, but Jill had mentioned something about potential unexpected changes like the way her own mother had left her father after he didn't understand her bi-sexuality. Jill, of course, was all for making her mother fully lesbian, but heeded Sharon's admonition that too much changing reality could have disasterous effects, possibly even leading up to more pregnancy for herself. "Come in, come in. I'm sorry, Rachel's not here right now, but I'm sure she'll be back soon."
Jill and Mrs. Bourne helped Sharon into the house and a comfortable seat. The muscular boy-toy smiled vapidly and lifted a glass in salute briefly. "We really need to talk to Rachel, Mrs. Bourne..."
"Stop that, Jill. You know I prefer for you to call me Sam. Mrs. Bourne makes me sound so... old." Rachel's mother smiled and primped her exquisitely styled dark brown locks. Sharon caught sight of a pcture of Samantha Bourne at a commercial shoot with a much younger Rachel. The younger Samantha didn't look very much different although Rachel couldn't have been much more than four in the photo. Well, there was also the matter of the very obviously larger breasts in the current version, but that was a different matter all together.
"Right, Sam. We need to speak to Rachel immediately. It's regarding the father of..." Jill stopped as Mrs. Bourne's expression darkened. She had obviously stumbled into something that the older woman wasn't very happy about.
"Still not giving me his name, hmm.... well, I shouldn't be surprised. I guess you are my daughter's friends, after all. Stupid bitch that she can be, though, getting pregnant like that at the height of her career." The show biz mom crossed her arms angrily over her amplified chest and scowled.
"It's not like that, I assure you, Sam," stated Sharon from her seat, "It's just that... well..." She trailed off, unsure of how to continue. She really didn't like Mrs. Bourne very much based off this current impression of her. The woman was domineering, cold, and obviously less concerned about her daughter than she was about herself and the status her daughter's fame broght her. Sharon shot a glance at Jill that spoke of combined pity and a further warning about unintended consequences.
"Hmmph. And I should believe you? But, I guess the ungrateful bitch wouldn't be very hapy if she found out I turned you away. She's visiting with her father. I don't know what she sees in that pathetic loser, anyway. You may as well stay here, I guess." She gestured idly at the patio where a number of starlets were sunbathing and being attended by several scantily dressed men. While Jill was nonplussed by the men, at least two had caught Sharon's attentio immediately.
