Rick's mom looked down at the kitchen table while his dad just stared at him with a mixture of disbelief and anger.
"I can't deal with you right now," barked Ed, "but you'd better damn well be here when I get home from work!" Despite Ed's obvious approval of his wife's new endowments, he just could not let Rick get away with this.
Ed walked out of the kitchen, muttering about being late for work, leaving Rick and his mom sitting round the kitchen table in an uncomfortable silence.
