"So how much are the Morklori paying you traitor?" she spat at the slim young man holding the vicious looking crossbow. He smiled a tight ferret grin (er, under normal circumstances what would be considered ferret like anyway - he was not visibly affected by the curse).
"Sorry your Majesty, but I guess someone just doesn't want you too succeed. If you'll be so kind as to move next to that tree - you too Sir Bard, I'm sure my associate will tie you up. Right Cass?"
A short, stocky man who looked similarly Lysfamari too her, though Katie was not much of a judge, walked out carrying a rope and approached. 'Cass' gave them an unpleasant smile, but didn't speak - obviously he was the one who followed orders to the others speaker. He walked over to the bard and was just tying him up when something happened. Several somethings.
From a complete halt Dál seemed to merely flick his wrist and there was a flash of silver in the air, and then, and Katie could scarcely believe her eyes but somehow Cass now had a dagger hilt sticking out of his throat. He gurgled in suprise and dropped to the ground. Dál elegantly moved aside from his body and stared the other traitor down.
Which was when the impossible thing happened.
With a twang the traitor fired his crossbow straight at Katie and Dál caught it in mid-air. She had never seen anyone move so fast. The traitor made to run but Dál caught him within three strides and knocked him senseless with a blow, before turning to Katie.
"Sorry that took so long, but I had to make sure that was all of them."
"Who - or what, are you?" gasped Katie in awe
