Jim looked over at Pod Edith, who promptly shoved the real Edith down onto the floor and put her powerful pod foot onto Edith's back, to secure her while she spoke to Jim. She pulled tightly on Edith's leash causing Edith to cough and splutter.
Jim, still dazed at the turn of events asked Pod Edith the most pertinent question about Violet "Is she real, or is she like you?"
Pod Edith laughed. "She's real alright. I was going to kill her after I replaced her with a Pod Violet, but since you enjoyed having your sister here, I thought I would give you Violet as a present. She should be grateful to be your slave. If I hadn't wanted to give her to you, master, she'd be dead!"
The real Violet moaned fearfully behind her gag.
