Let us consider the interesting case of Braswell, New Mexico.
Braswell is something of a footnote in the annals of ufology, nowhere near as well known as, say, the Maury Island incident, not even quite matching the stature of Kecksburg, this being due in part to all the evidence being anecdotal. The story goes that in 1956 strange lights appeared and scores of individuals were abducted. On this score, Braswell begins to rival the Betty and Barney Hill incident, for the testimonies are not only very detailed but strongly corroborating of each other. Over the years the handy explanation "mass hysteria" has been stamped on Braswell, but the town has been able to exploit its reputation for some extra commerce.
People didn't think much more of Braswell until the Seventies, when it was noticed that some of the young women descended from Braswell abductees were blossoming into busty sexpots. Then, in the Nineties, there was a distinct explosion of sexy young girls, and an underground porn video industry emerged in the town.
To this day, no one has ever really made any sense out of Braswell's peculiar history ...
