"... Tawney Stevens. She has a magical potential similar to your own as well as having been registered here for only a few days." Jamie blinked at the girl who was slightly taller than herself, but otherwise very physically similar. That was of course, if you decided to ignore the fine irridescent bluse scales that covered her skin and the long blue snakes that replaced her hair. Jamie took a step back in shock, and some small bit of fear. It didn't help that Tawney's waist length snakes decided to rise up to get a peek at her. On the plus side her outfit freed her arms before she fell on her bottom and arranged itself into something more covering, although still tight leather and strappy.
"Oops sorry about that," giggled Tawney, "I forget how many humanoids have that kind of reaction to anything scaled." She pushed a pair of sunglasses back on her face with a stray hair snake even as she extended an open hand to Jamie "I'm safe, see. I wear dark glasses in case the protective spells fail, and I'm really pretty friendly. That was a neat trick with the clothes though. You'll have to show me how you do it sometime."
Professor Cadabrio stood aside and waited. Slowly Jamie extended a hand to her new roommate and rose to her feet. "I'm Jamie... And, I'm not exactly sure how I'm doing this. It's sort of part of the curse, I think... Um... What are you?"
Tawney giggled "I'm a gorgon. You really must be new if you're asking such basic questions." Tawney stepped aside to let Jamie and Professor Cadabrio into the spacious room. It was decorated in what Jamie recognized as a typical girls' dorm common room through both her Jane and Jim sides. There were posters, a scattered selection of CDs a small entertainment center. Two doors two one side were closed and a bathroom door on the oposite side was slightly ajar. Jamie turned back to her roommate to get a better look at the girl, who would have seemed typical of one of the popular, cheerleader types from back home were she not so... snakey. Jamie's Jim side began wondering what, exactly, the girl looked like under her hip huggers and her Jane side was not repulsed by the idea... Providing her Master wasn't against it of course.
"Jamie is from a world where Magic is so uncommon as to be thought nothing more than a myth. Something like the large birds of prey from your world" informed the Professor. "Still, I think the two of you could be very beneficial to each others' education." Jamie's mind had aparently wandered back as her arms bound themselves behind her and the corset re-tightened itself. Still, at least this time there was no ball gag, showing some progress. "I trust I can leave the further introduction to you miss Stevens?"
"Of course Headmaster," chirped the pretty gorgon "I'll get her settled and we can order in tongiht. Oh! she doesn't have any money does she? I mean if Magic is denied in her world then..."
"She is the recipient of a scholarship yes but also will recieve a stipend. Hers is... a special case." Cadabrio smiled, sending Jamie into a reluctant swoon that Tawney could not help but notice. 'Er... Yes, then, I suppose I should be off to prepare the counterspells, as well as to arrange a personal tutor... If he will accept. Good day ladies." And with that, Professor Cadabrio turned, took two steps and disappeared from sight.
