Unfortunately for Jim and company, the arriving police had been near enough to see the car leaving the front of the hotel. As they passed by, the two policemen could see that the group matched the description of the troublemakers. Switching on their siren, they quickly turned the squad car around and followed them.
Jim heard the sirens and groaned. As the squad car came nearer, however, he figured that now would be a good time to test out whether the tuner would work on vehicles. After adjusting the settings to “Beach Bunny,” he leaned out his window and fired.
As he watched, a giant number 0 appeared above the squad car. He guessed that since squad cars were standard, it kind of made sense that they would count as neutral. For a brief moment, he wondered if changing the car would also change its occupants. If so, it would solve this little police issue in one go. Quickly, he pressed the up button.
