Shareen studied the ruby crystal with an expert's eye. It would fetch a good deal of gold just by itself and there were a dozen just like it in the chest!
Her tail flicked back and forth unconsciously as she imagined what she could buy with the vast amount of money this treasure room was going to get her. That was of course if she could get it back to somewhere civilized, she certainly wasn't going to offload any of it in Pel's pathetic village...
Her main problem was that there was so much of it. She'd have to choose the most valuable and easiest to move. And there would be other hunters. It was only blind luck that Shareen and Erena had been in the village of Tallas when the earthquake hit. Others would come. These ruins had been scavenged long before, making a great many very rich. The earthquake had opened new areas, this one included.
Shareen glanced over and saw the dimunitive fairy flitting around a disgusting human painting. "Erena! Focus. Start putting what you can into your magic space."
A high pitched giggle "I know what I want in my magic space!"
"Quiet." Shareen tossed the crystal at the fairy.
"Hey!" Erena threw her arms forward and the crystal disappeared in a shower of sparkling light.
The Felarn stood and turned, looking for those jewel-encrusted daggers she'd seen earlier. The first thing she noticed was Pel standing furtively next to the...where was the sculpture?
Shareen snarled, "Pel...what did you do with it?" She stalked towards him.
The half-breed boy looked towards her. Shareen saw fear cross his features and then change into something she was all to familiar with. His eyes strayed from her face downward in an appraisal that he'd not dared done openly since his first punishment that night in the tavern.
Her rage grew as she reached the fool. She grabbed his puny arm and jerked him away from the pedastal. It was quickly obvious what he'd done with the sculpture, the rediculously huge bulge in his dirty breeches told the tale. Shareen contemptuously tossed the youth to the floor.
"You stupid fool. Take it out of your pants right now."
Shareen felt Erena fluttering next to her ear. "Shareen! I'm surprised at you! Thought you weren't interested in him that way."
The half-elf was just lying there staring up at her stupidly. She was glad to see the fear was back in hie eye. But even as she watched, his gaze settled upon the lightly furred breasts. Who did he think he was?
