The bookstore didn't seem to be too fancy, as it didn't have the air of something steeped in powers that were mysterious and ancient. In actuality, it was fairly airy, with wide aisles, light color wood for the shelves, and good lighting. It had less to do with some dank pit of the arcane, and a lot to do with modern stores. But if it had what she wanted, she didn't care what it looked like.
After all, Akane hadn't gone in there for the ambiance.
When Akane had heard of this store, she had been rather excited, even with the possible danger. For way too long she'd been at the mercy of love pills, enchanted items, and other assorted pieces of magic. With so many people managing to find items of Power, it was little wonder that she might be interested in this sort of thing. There were certain issues that could only be dealt with if one knew the details of them, and the only way to do that would be to find source of knowledge.
That was why she was there. She had plenty of reasons to go there, and she knew the risks of being on that street. But the rewards were likely to be great, and she was never one to back down from anything if she had a choice. For the first time, she was not merely going to let someone bring the magic into her life.
This time, she was going to be going to where the magic was herself.
