Phantomness blinked as she heard a knock on her door. Hoping that it was not nothing (the Phantom Knocker again, perhaps?) again, she holsted her deck of magical cards and headed to open the odor. There, she saw a familiar looking character. She rubbed her eyes to make sure she was not hallucinating, then blinked again.
"Jim?"
"Yes, it's me." Jim sighed. "May I come in?"
Phantomness considered. Though Jim looked harmless, he could always have one wacky scientific gadget or magic item hidden away on his person. On the other hand, her Author Suite generated a magical force-field gauranteed to negate all effects. With a shrug, she beckoned him in.
Syaoran and Yue broke apart as they saw a guest entering and hurriedly straightened thier clothes. Without a word, they nodded to the author and headed into the room marked 'CCS'. Phantomness watched as Jim settled himself on a squashy cushion and took a deep breath.
"I need your help."
"You stated so already." Phantomness inspected hir nails, nodding. The peacock blue polish looked quite lovely. "What exactly do you need help with?"
"There's an Emperor version of me going around killing all other versions of me!" Jim protested.
"Well, it's not really my concern. I don't write you in that many threads." Phantomness said severely. "Besides, if there are so many copies of you, does it really matter?"
"How would *you* feel if somemone started killing off all your avatars?" Jim shot back.
Phantomness sipped her tea as she pondered this. Jim did have a point. Though her avatars had only died a few times, it was still quite irritating.
She got up, brushing invisible dust off her blue sailor skirt and nodded. "All right, I'll help you. But don't expect much. I'm only one author, after all."
"Better than nothing." Jim said. He set down the untouched Coke Phantomness had passed him earlier. "Where to now?"
Phantomness considered. "I think we should..."
