"Would you mind explaining once again why we're headed this way?" Jim asked as they left the town behind them and headed into the forest. He had found that one disadvantage of being a half-ogre was that he was a lot less intelligent than he had been as a human.
"I'd like that explained again too," the paladin said. He wasn't much brighter than Jim. He was also disgruntled at having had to leave his horse behind in the town's stables, as the track which they were following was too narrow and overgrown to make riding practical. Jim was carrying all the supplies for the four of them in a huge pack on his back that neither of the two humans - let alone Sharon - could even have lifted off the ground.
