Ino walked over to a shelf with many perfumes and fragrances on it. A pink one had caught her eye. Her eyes roved over the label, to show her that this was no ordinary perfume. She quirked her eyebrow at the odd promises it made.
"Do you feel you're getting shown up by smarter girls around you? Do you feel intellectually inadequate? Well feel inadequate no more! This perfume will make you outshine those around you in intellect and wit! So if you want to be 'the smart girl,' then look no further and fret no more!"
Ino smiled, amused at it. Sure the product must be a joke. There's no way that some perfume could just maker her smarter. Not that she NEEDED it. Ino would never admit it, but she often did feel slightly inadequate, especially around Sakura. She'd never let slip, but she always had been jealous at her friend's brains.
Little did Ino know, that the perfume she was holding didn't even truly work in the way she imagined. Instead of making the wearer smarter, the smell actually decreased the intelligence of those women around who smelled it. The longer they were around, the more they smelled, the greater the effects, essentially making the wearer look much smarter by compare. The product fulfilled it's promise to a t, just in a different way than most would predict.
Ino knew, logically, that this product had to be a sham. That there was simply no way it could work. She was THAT smart. But something in the back of her mind kept telling her to buy it. That trying it wouldn't hurt. She bit her lip in concentration, trying to come to a decision.
