Jim kissed her. "Well, have fun today, I'm off to work."
Not five minutes after Jim left, Jessica's stomach growled. "Alright, time to get to work," she said, rubbing her hands together. She'd bought an enormous amount of food a few days before, in case her hunger returned again, and would have no trouble putting a massive dent in her pantry.
Breakfast consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, and enough pancakes to feed a family of six (which, she mused as she ate, she pretty much was at the moment), and drenched in syrup. The sugar rush that came from all that maple-y goodness drove her to throw on the pregnancy aerobics DVD Jim had gotten her a few months ago and do the entire workout.
She felt comical compared to the instructor, who was maybe six months along, with just one ch1ld. When the instructor did squats, you could see her hips still. When Jessica squatted, her knees vanished.
After she was done with that, she went back to the kitchen and had a brunch of a few omelets and a huge bowl of diced melon. As she had been cutting the cantaloupes, she held one up to her chest and compared it to her breasts. It won, but just barely, and she was secretly thrilled to think that her breasts might soon be "larger than a melon".
Jessica spent the rest of the morning reading from the spellbook. Where Jim seemed almost scared of the book, Jessica wanted to learn as much about it as she could, and couldn't wait to start trying out spells from it. In addition to the Housekeeping and Fertility sections she'd already seen, the book contained a huge variety of chapters: "Magical Service", "Wealth Generation and Protection", "Personal Protection", "Scrying", "Cooking and Foodstuffs", "Manipulation", "Entertainments and other Diversions", as well as dozens more.
Lunchtime rolled around, and Jessica decided to try out one of the cooking spells, "Generation of a Noontime Meal", tailoring the spell to create enough food for five people. She set out small pieces of every ingredient that she'd need in the final meal, and then began reading. The blue glow enveloped the food, and when she was done, what was before here was a giant pot of a thick, meaty stew. She poured out a bowl and devoured it, eventually eating most of the pot and sticking the rest in the freezer.
She napped for a little while, had a snack, and then did a little cleaning. Jim came home as she was preparing to magic together dinner.
