Pregnancy Charm: Fast-forward to the Future

"Yeah, I guess I've got time to grow. Speaking of which, sometimes I wish I lived in another time." Edith commented to Jake.

The charm flashed again, responding to her offhand wish. Her talk with Jake had Edith vaguely wondering what it would be like to travel through space in the future, and the charm responded accordingly.

Reality shimmered again, and Edith adjusted her skin-tight suit, gazing out at the stars as she stood on the bridge of a massive spaceship. Pregnant women scurried past her, each of them engaged in their own duties and too busy to chat. She felt a little dizzy - what had she been doing?

She shrugged it off. There was no time to stand around on this colony ship. She had better attend to her duties.

1. Edith's job is to bear the pregnancies of all the women on the ship, keeping the rest of them mobile
