Meanwhile, in another part of the village, Sakura was still wandering the streets, still quite lost, however not so worried, as she really couldn't remember what she had been so worried about. It must not have been that important, she figured, since she couldn't remember what it was.
She seemed to have been reduced to a level where she was no longer aware that she was any different than usual. It was hard to concentrate on how she normally was, so comparing her current state to it was rather hard. And Sakura had forgotten to actively make the effort.
Sakura looked around at the buildings, as she walked down the street, a rather oblivious little smile on her face. She really had no clue where she was going and didn't really have the state of mind to be concerned about that fact. The signs on buildings all looked like big complicated squiggles and swirlies unless she concentrated hard on them. And Sakura wasn't one for hard concentration.
Then she noticed a bit of discomfort in her bladder area. She looked down at her body and realized what it meant, after a moment of thought.
"Sakura needta go peepee!" she said, voicing her revelation aloud. A couple of people on the street gave her strange looks, but made no move to make anything of the odd declaration.
Sakura looked around. "Where go peepee place?" she wondered.
The pink-haired kunoichi continued walking down the street, looking for something that would indicate where she could relieve her bladder. She was pretty sure that there were usually some sorts of signs to indicate where those kinds of places were, but she couldn't remember what they looked like. She hoped that she would remember when she spotted one.
After a few minutes of no luck, and her need growing stronger, Sakura opted to go ask someone who owned a shop on the street.
She approached the counter of some sort of food stand. The proprietor, a middle-aged man, smiled politely. "What can I do for you?" he asked.
"Sakura gotta go peepee," Sakura informed him. "Where peepee place please?" she asked.
The man's smile faltered and he took a moment to answer. "Uh well...restrooms are for customers only..." he told her, though it seemed as if this girl might be mentally handicapped. Strange. She looked completely normal.
Sakura stared at the man, mouth hanging open slightly. "Custo...what's custom..mer?" she asked. The word sounded sort of familiar, but...she could remember what it meant.
The store owner acquiesced. "Well...never mind. It's back that way," he pointed down toward the back of the shop. This girl definitely had some sort of condition, and he wasn't unkind. "Do you...uh...need someone to help you back there?" he asked, unsure. Mentally handicapped people usually had someone with them to help them out, didn't they?
Sakura's face took on an incredulous look. "Sakura not dum," she protested, turning to go where the man had pointed.
The shop owner rubbed his head. He hadn't meant to be insulting. It's just...no she definitely had some kind of condition. Right...? Boy the job got interesting sometimes.
Meanwhile, down the hall, Sakura came to two doors, each with a symbol on it to indicate which room which gender should use. She looked from one to the other, trying to remember what they meant. She remembered there was only one that she should go into, but...which one? The figures were so non-specific.
She looked at the figure on the female bathroom, then looked down at herself. The figure had a skirt or something on...and so did she. So it must be that one!
Luckily for Sakura, the door need only to be pushed to allow entry. Anything more complicated than that might have taken some working. The same was true for the stall door.
Once inside, she pushed it closed, but didn't remember to lock it. It probably would have taken a while to get anyway.
She stared down at the toilet and saw a strange confusing contraption that she was sure she should know how to use. Squeezing her legs together, she looked at it, confused. How DID she use one of these??
She first tried sitting down on the seat, without pulling down her pants, but after a moment of rudimentary thought, she was sure that wasn't right. Sakura stood again, then looked down at herself. She needed to get her skirt off right?
Fiddling with it for a minute or two, she managed to take it off all the way, leaving her still standing in her shorts. Dropping the skirt, she frowned. Why was this so hard? She really had to go!
