The marriage guidance counselor struggled to keep track of Mr. Pewtey's reply, for the simple fact was that he found himself falling madly in lust with Deirdre, so much so that he could not help but reach out and cradle her face in his hand. Wondering how else to adjust himself, he stood up, and she did too, and the next thing he knew they were so close as to begin to actually embrace each other.
"I began to suspect -- no, perhaps that's too strong a word -- imagine that I was not the only thing in her life," Mr. Pewtey finally concluded.
The counselor felt instinctively indignant at any rebuke of this creature Deirdre -- even if it was a rebuke he was in fact proving. "You suspected your wife?"
"Well, frankly -- yes."
In that moment the counselor realized that this man was in fact quite tiresome and clueless and powerless. Somehow he had hitched himself to a woman who was simply too damn hot for him. Such a woman wrote her own rules, lived her own way -- and so he was ecstatic as he nodded over at the partition where he got dressed and undressed in emergencies and she instantly and cheerfully caught on and agreed. The counselor no longer cared about anything, only nailing this woman.
"So I decided no more beating around the bush, it was time to face facts, or I'd never be able to look myself in the mirror again," Mr. Pewtey summed up.
Infinitely more impressive to the counselor, however, were the clothes and undergarments that Deirdre was dangling over the partition as she swiftly got naked behind it. JEE-ZUZZ, what a bra! The thing was huge and strong. He had figured she was just "letting it all hang out," but the idea that all that abundance was in fact under heavy wraps excited his imagination all the more.
"Yes, yes, listen -- could you run along for twenty minutes? No -- half an hour."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, just run along." The counselor was now admittedly cuckoo with lust, actually pulling his trousers off right then and there.
"Yes, well ... yes, I think that sets my mind to rest on a couple of scores, there," Mr. Pewtey commented vaguely, and obeyed.
