Shizune put her hand to her forehead. She was so confused. There were two conflicting sets of memories in her head, and it was hard to discern which was real anymore... The Tsunade before her evidenced her memories of the Hokage being an idiot...but something inside told her that her other memories were actually true...but then how could this happen?? Shizune was so confused.
"Tsunade-sama," she started, trying to get a hold of herself. "We have to go...get help."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "What for, Zune?" she asked, confused.
"There's...something wrong...I think," Shizune tried to explain. "You're...you're an intelligent woman and...somehow now you're an idiot...I think," she struggled, not sure what was true and what wasn't.
Tsunade giggled. "Zune's silly!" she started out. "Nade always been a big dummy!"
Then things started to change in Shizune's brain. Some things became concrete, while other things were now being added. The memories of Tsunade being an idiot her whole life were becoming dominant, and Shizune believed them more every passing moment, however that wasn't all that was happening. Tsunade's first statement, that Shizune was "silly," was also taking hold and changing the woman.
Now memories of her were being added, evidencing that Shizune had been a ninjutsu genius, however she had also been the class clown in every facet of her life at the same time. She liked speaking in an exaggerated manner, acting silly, and doing silly things. And of course it always made dealing with Tsunade easier to boot. She'd entertained the woman quite a bit over their years of travel together. It was a good match: Shizune loved to act silly, and Tsunade loved to watch Shizune's silly antics.
And so, as these memories took hold in Shizune's head, a goofy smile spread across her face. "Well gee whiz Tsunade-sama!" Shizune exclaimed in a wacky voice. "I just don't know what came over ol' Shee-zoo-neh!" she continued, making exaggerated gestures as she spoke.
Tsunade giggled and clapped her hands together at Shizune's odd actions. "Shizune funny!" she exclaimed, happy with this current turn of events.
"Why thaaaaaank ya Miss Hokage!" Shizune said, taking an exaggerated bow toward the blond woman. The change in Shizune's mind was more subtle this time. Whereas before, she'd been a class clown her whole life, who some found absolutely intolerable, while others were more ambivalent, now most people really found her funny.
Silly as she was though, Shizune knew that Tsunade couldn't just go around all the time with her huge breasts hanging out for the whole world to see. "Now come on Tsuuuunade-sama," she started, winking at the blond woman. "Let get you a new shirt. We can't have our booby-boobies hanging out now, can we?"
Tsunade, however, didn't like the sound of that idea. "Don't wanna!" she protested. "Nade like like this! Boobies should be out all time!"
And now new information was taking over in Shizune's brain. It wasn't really much new that Tsunade likes to have her breasts bare, but now Shizune was remembering that she'd always hated having to have her breasts covered. She remembered going shirtless as much as she could when she was a ch1ld, and when she started growing breasts and her parents began to insist that she wear a shirt and training bra, she'd hated it and done everything she could to avoid it. However under the watchful eyes of her parents and teachers, she couldn't avoid it much of the time. But whenever she was alone, she'd shed any upper body clothing she had on and would enjoy the feeling of the breeze on her bare upper body. No one (including Shizune) had ever really understood why she was this way, but it was simply a way set in her mind.
As she'd grown older and more independent, she'd go topless at every possible opportunity, and had come to hold a high position in the Konoha Women's Liberation League, largely to abolish the double-standard that men could go topless while women couldn't. As an adult, she now understood that in order to be taken serious by new acquaintances, she couldn't walk around topless in front of them, but she tried to get away with it around the village as much as she could manage.
And so, with all this new information taking hold in her mind, Shizune looked down at herself, trying to remember why on earth she was wearing a shirt. She was just around Tsunade, who liked to be topless too, so why was this thing still on her?
With a swift movement, she untied her shirt, took it off and threw it to the floor. She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, as she reveled in the feeling of the open air upon her body. "Aaaaah! Much better!" she exclaimed happily. "Now what were we talking about?" She looked toward Tsunade, who seemed quite confused.
"Ummm...Zune tol' Nade to put on shirt and cover boobies," Tsunade said. She wasn't very bright, but she was pretty sure that's what Shizune had said.
Shizune thought this sounded absurd, but Tsunade was right. She HAD said it. Shaking her head and grinning, she looked to Tsunade and said, "Well I cerrrrtainly apologize, Tsunade-sama! I don't know WHAT came over me! You know better than anyone, that I love being topless!"
