The music was life and the dance was living. One was fulfilling and the other filling her from head to toe, pouring through her body like liquid fire. She loved it. Loved the way her hips swayed and her body bounced with vibrant energies that seemed to flow from nowhere into everything. She looked around and noticed that her fellow dancers, her friends were all dancing off towards the seats and watching her in interest. Why would they stop dancing? Why would anyone ever want to stop dancing? Thankfully, Ami had removed that nasty robe. It had been restricting her movement! Now she could be as the open flame, billowing in the wind. Her hands clasped above her head and she performed an excellent impersonation of just that as her body seemed to writhe in time to the beat, the eternal beat that pounded through her body.
And yet, she knew that something was wrong about all of this. She ought to be fighting... something or other. If it was important, surely she would remember it right? And she was surrounded by her friends. Surely if there was trouble around, they'd know it as well. Right? Except that felt somehow wrong as well. It was like a recursive loop of wrongness, which she could never resolve. Best to stop thinking about it, whatever it was, as it was distracting from the dance. The wonderful, perfect dance.
Her eyes snapped open and fell upon Usagi. She was just sitting there happily, clapping along to the beat when she could be feeling it, becoming one with it if she only rose to her feet and felt it! She looked her in the eyes, feeling the passion burning in them and gestured seductively for Usagi to join her. She was rebuffed politely, but she'd clearly underestimated how obstinate Rei could be. She stepped forward, her hips grinding in time to the beat, and she gestured again with both her hands outstretched while her shoulders rolled. Again, she refused and Rei stepped closer still almost in Usagi's lap. She pulled her to her feet, and felt surprised when she wrapped her arms around her head and kissed her on the mouth. But still, she kept dancing. Usagi joined her, and guided Rei's hands around her body before similarly wrapping her own arms around Rei's. They danced, still lip locked, still holding each other tightly. This was heaven, it had to be. She didn't think it was possible for anything to feel better than the dance or the rhythm, but here it was.
A finger tapped her on the shoulder, and the kiss reluctantly broke. It was Naru. "Dancing around like that looks like thirsty work. Here, have this."
Rei pulled the cup to her lips, and soon enough she forgot about dancing. Her panties were discarded, and she danced her way to her knees...
