"As you can see, my credentials are top notch. Every school I have worked at reports zero levels of delinquency, and their students are all vastly improved in all subjects."
Across the desk, the funny little man in a hawaian shirt chortled slightly and only glanced at the paperwork and the references. "Ah, Miss Hinako! But I have already taken dah trouble to do all the talkin' to your previous schools that I be needin'!"
She bet he did, the stupid fool. Well, no. She guessed he had to be more intelligent than he seemed. He was the sort that put people off balance by acting the clown, but either it was an act or he was insane enough to be a living avatar of chaos all unto himself. The two were not mutually exclusive. Rather than let an ounce of her disdain for him show through, she simply crossed her legs and smiled at him. Interesting. Most men either averted their gaze or tried to sneak a peek, but he barely flinched. Neither hypothesis could be cast out quite yet it seemed.
"Dey be sayin' you make exemplary teacher! Perfect for de job at hand! Just de person who can put dat brat Saotome in his place in no time flat!"
Ah yes. Saotome. The reason she was here, though for very different reasons than she'd let the principal be aware of. Back when she was a little girl, her life had been saved by a man named Happosai. He had given her a gift, a wonderful and awesome gift in the right hands. The good the right person could do with this... But hers were most definitely the wrong hands, she had concluded. The way she used this gift could not possibly be the right way to use it. What made it worse was that she knew it, and didn't give two good god-damns.
Her reason for coming was simple enough. She'd heard that Happosai had taken on other students around the time he saved her life. He'd gone missing some time ago, and had recently resurfaced. Meanwhile the two students had their own family, and had even gone and made up an arranged marriage. Gag her with a spoon. She was here for one simple thing. To demonstrate to this young Ranma that Anything Goes means just that. It means defeating your opponent so badly that they don't even care anymore. It means you can engage them in battle when they're not aware of it and completely unprepared to deal with it. It also means that one can be... flexible about what the word battle actually means. It can, for instance, be a total test of will.
"Some of them were... challenging," she admitted. "But with my strict technique I can guarantee this Saotome boy will behave himself!" As would the otehr students, the staff, this stupid principal himself...And once she'd proved her dominance over this school and the other supposed heirs to Anything Goes, she would move on to another with yet another handy little recommendation burning in her pocket. The sheer beauty of her new ability was in the level of control she had over it. Set it off like a firework, or leave it burning slowly like a candle. She preferred to work by candlelight. Take it slow, take it easy and gradually work her magic over everybody she taught.
"When can ya start?" the principal asked. He was too eager to put the boots to Ranma that he didn't seem to care all that much about who he was hiring. Just so long as they were adept at punting, so to speak. She was the best he'd eve laid eyes on, even if he didn't know it yet.
