Getting the right actors together for the roles they would play was only one step of the process. That alone was a major obstacle, to sign on any and all actors he could want and bring them together regardless of circumstances to take part in his dream film.
Licenses? Those were the hardest part of all. Almost any big-name actor would chomp at the bit for a chance to be known and remembered as Superman, or to take part in a video game to film adaptation of a big name like Legend of Zelda. The rights to those products were a different matter entirely, caught in a quagmire of legalese and technicalities that could put any film into development hell. That only accounted for if he were a well-known director like Steven Spielberg or M. Night Shyamalan. He wasn't.
