The agent told the five heroines that the link was the sandman. That he took over people while they were asleep and caused them to act out in ways that they never would if they were in control of themselves. A short time later the five heroines headed to a rundown part of town where the sandman was believed to be. Wonder woman, Bat Girl, Super girl, wonder girl and Black canary spent the day looking for eveidence that the like was present. Bat Girl, aka barbara Gordon, sat on a park bench. Unlike the other heroines she had been on a stakeout the night before and was tired. That combined with the sun hitting her face an walking all over the place she was tired and dozed off for a few moments. The sandman saw this and seized his oppurtunity. Bat Girl awoke with a start.
