Though she was buried in the avalanche, Hinata could still move. She could see light through cracks between books blocking her path ahead and started to crawl. After about a minute of struggling, she managed to poke her head free.
The first sight that Hinata saw upon poking her head out of the mountain was a pair of feminine feet wearing black high heels. She slowly craned her neck upward, taking in the similarly colored ankle-length skirt, a white blouse that would have been conservative had it not needed to strain to contain an immense pair of breasts, and then the face of a very, very stern looking woman. Narrow-framed glasses rested on her nose and her hair was pulled back in a tight bun.
"And what do you think you're doing, young lady?" the woman, whom Hinata assumed to be the shopkeeper, asked.
"I'm very sorry," Hinata said, apologetic. "I lost my balance and all of these books fell with me. I didn't mean to--"
"Whether or not it was an accident means nothing," the shopkeeper said. "Stand."
Hinata did as ordered, and quickly pulled herself out from under the mountain. Back on her feet, she looked up at the woman, who could stand at least half a foot taller than her without heels. "I, I know you're angry, but--"
"Silence!"
Hinata fell silent as the shopkeeper gripped her by the chin and roughly turned her face from side to side. Hinata felt she was being examined, but for what?
"Well, you certainly seem to be a strong, healthy young woman," the shopkeeper said. "I shouldn't have to hold back in your punishment."
"P-punishment?" Hinata asked. Oh, dear.
