Nice bit. I liked the fear in Shampoo and how her mind was trying to think of a way out.
I do have to wonder, what do you think would happen if a person wearing the R.O.T were to say "I am lying." Do you think the Liar's Paradox could be the one true weakness of the Ring of Truth?
Because If Shampoo said "I am lying" then the ring would make it true that she was lying. But if she's lying she isn't telling the truth. And if she isn't telling the truth then her statement "I am lying" is true.
And you can see how quickly that would repeat for ever. The ring may be powerful but paradoxes are dangerous things when it comes to such things as Truth.
It would cause a reality warping truth explosion making everything be said or written in the 10 minute amethyst colored field of truth, or undo do all actual changes but leave the memories or do the exact opposite.
There is also a chance that that paradox creates the ring of Lies.
