Frederick sat up in bed, alerted by the small alarm going off at his bedside. An intruder had gotten into his workshop. Leaping out of bed, he ran over to investigate. To his horror, he found the camera missing and the kitchen door left open.
Without bothering to put on shoes or even a coat, he raced out the door in his pajamas. When he reached the sidewalk, he caught a glimpse of the thief a couple of blocks down the street. Oddly, he seemed to have stopped and was staring down at the camera in his hands. Had he used it yet?
Frederick renewed his sprint to catch up before anything happened. As he closed in, he felt grateful that his bare feet allowed him to sneak up behind the man undetected.
Just when he reached out to grab the man’s shoulder, he heard him mutter something. Then, the world went white.

Hank swayed a little as reality settled down around him. Inspecting himself, he saw that the fabric and cut of his clothing had changed to a higher quality. It seemed safe to assume he had indeed become more wealthy, although since he had worn simple dark clothing for his impulsive burglary, he couldn’t really be sure.
Suddenly, a hand touched his shoulder. Jumping in his shoes, he glanced down and immediately noted the red painted nails, the long, tapered fingers, and the delicate bone structure of a woman‘s hand. He turned, letting his eyes roam from the hand, up the smooth arm to its owner.
Hank gasped. A vision of female loveliness looked up at him with deep blue eyes. Lustrous, blonde hair bordered her angelic face and cascaded over her shoulders down to her perfect breasts. She was wrapped in a flowing nightgown that did next to nothing to hide her every curve.
When she spoke, her sultry voice filled his ears like music. “What are you doing out here, Hank? Kind of strange taking a walk at this hour, isn‘t it?”
She shivered against the cold, rubbing her arms and rocking from one foot to the other. Hank wondered to himself why she was barefoot.
Pulling his gaze back to her face, he managed to ask, “Um, who are you?”
The woman giggled and answered coyly, “I’m your girlfriend, of course. Don’t tell me you’ve already forgotten your little Faye.”
