I found the idea of Kasumi using the book to sort out various problems far too funny to ignore, so... Here's a setup for that very story.

I was also intrigued by the Kasumi option; glad you were able to make it a reality!

"Boobicus Maximus" huh?

I hope that phrase gets used in other Titnosis branches.

I was going for something darker in the Kodachi one I started. This one is definitely lighter fare so far.

I hope option 2 or 3 get taken. Preferably 3, except Kasumi doesn't actually find a way to reverse it. Instead, she learns more about what she can do with her new power until she can't ignore the temptation to use it.

Then again, if someone writes 4, and Kasumi unwittingly uses her new power on Nabiki somehow, that would make my day.

I don't understand why Ranma and Akane bashing? It's not a joke, and serves no purpose as far as I can tell.

Why would Ranma care about being the first to read the book? It is a book, and if he really wants it he can quietly sneak into Kasumi's room and steal it at night.

Why is a book suddenly a scroll?

Why does Akane want a martial arts scroll? She really doesn't care about training beyond what she already knows.

Kasumi whimpered slightly and pulled it out. Oh dear. Oh my. What had she found now? The discarded notes to the Kama Sutra? Some crude sketch the ancient pervert had made of that one time he peeked in the Joketsuzoku bathing house? She let an eye creak open, inch by terrified inch, and she saw a scroll that she unfurled with a slight wince.

It's a book. Kasumi reads books all the time. Why is Kasumi acting like she has no idea what she has found? Just reading who the author was at a glance would rule all this out.

"No way, tomboy, you'll just mess it up!" Ranma replied. "I'm way more suited to figuring out this scroll!"

This would be better if Ranma was simply pointing out the fact that Akane's breasts are too small to make use of the techniques. Ranma honestly tries not to insult Akane without a reason, but Akane can't deal with the truth.

"Don't listen to him! I know I can make it work if only I have the chance!" Akane sniffed, and sharply turned her head away from Ranma. "Knowing him, he'll just use it to show off and pick up girls!"
Well, Akane does repeatedly claim Ranma is a rapist, and can be given hard evidence of what is actually going on, and still believe this, but when do they learn.

Sorry, but dumbing do characters really bugs me.

Lucky: "I don't understand why Ranma and Akane bashing? It's not a joke, and serves no purpose as far as I can tell."

Me: My guess is 'to establish what is most likely Kasumi's first use of her new Titnosis skills.'

...

Lucky: "Why is a book suddenly a scroll?"

Me: It's not. She found scrolls before she found the book.

...

Story: She let an eye creak open, inch by terrified inch, and she saw a scroll that she unfurled with a slight wince.

Lucky: "It's a book. Kasumi reads books all the time. Why is Kasumi acting like she has no idea what she has found?"

Me: Um, no. It was a scroll. How do you check who wrote it without opening it up? Pay more attention before complaining.

...

Story: "No way, tomboy, you'll just mess it up!" Ranma replied. "I'm way more suited to figuring out this scroll!"

Lucky: "This would be better if Ranma was simply pointing out the fact that Akane's breasts are too small to make use of the techniques."

Me: They were clearly arguing over the martial arts scroll, not the book about Titnosis. I'm starting to get the impression that you merely skimmed through this episode, in which case you have no right to complain about not understanding it.

Thank you ElimId, you covered the same points I was about to argue. Though, an unclosed italics tag appears to have turned the rest of the page into italics.

While I like constructive criticism, Lucky's wasn't constructive. It was more like he'd skimmed, decided he didn't like it, and then picked out things to prove his point rather than actually reading the thing.

I won't say that he has to like it, but at least try to dislike it for honest reasons.

Fixed the unclosed italics tag in Lucky's post.

ElimId: My guess is 'to establish what is most likely Kasumi's first use of her new Titnosis skills.'

Lucky: Dumbing down characters should never be done.

The author has the book magically alter Kasumi's body at the end making the bashing and most of the episode seem unneeded. If the book will so easily alter bodies then why not minds as well? This would have worked better if Kasumi had to do exercises, or create a potion. Something you can't do on accident. What do Kasumi's worries and feelings even matter after the book transforms her into the perfect Titnosis Mistress? I realize the book claims it only alters the body, but why should it be trusted?

Lucky: Sadly my eyes don't always work right when I'm tired. That is why I reread it now. I try to give constructive criticism, but garbage in garbage out on my part. I apologize to the author.

Why are they fighting over scrolls? It doesn't make sense? Two people can learn from a scroll pretty much at the same time, and since there are several scrolls fighting is pointless anyway because they can only learn one technique at a time. Ranma only needs a glance often anyway.

In all 36/38 volumes Akane never has an arc where she is trying to improve her martial arts skills. Perhaps there should have been a different reason for Ranma and Akane's fight?

Lumitiel did not dumb down the characters. Period. If you're trying to say that the two of them never bicker that mindlessly, then you're either being disingenuous or you just haven't read or watched enough of the source material. *Of course* they act that childishly towards each other from time to time, because it's *funny*.

I personally thought their banter was actually one of the strengths of the episode, both because it was amusing and because it favors neither one of them (which then *would* risk falling into character bashing).

I dislike bashing of any character far more than most people, even when it's directed towards someone like Genma…and *especially* when it's aimed at my good friend Akane. This is not bashing and it's not dumbing either one of them down. It just isn't. I feel like you're looking for things to complain about simply for the sake of complaining.

The fight between Ranma and Akane would have worked better if it was over something like Ranma not wanting to test Akane's latest cooking attempt, and was only heard by Kasumi I think.

Kasumi's transformation at the end was too magical and sudden. This sort of thing works best when it at least starts out subtle.

If it hadn't happened acidentally and suddenly then it never would have happened. The point of the episode was for kasumi to get the book. Given this is a storyline involving hypnotizing people with one's breasts. It might be that people are taking it a bit too seriously.
