It looks like a super-computer! A very old one, judging by its size, and the number of dials on it. You wouldn't be surprised if this thing turned out to use vacuum tubes. More out of idle curiosity then anything else, you flip a random switch on the side of the machine.
Immediately, the computer hums to life, lights flickering on. You jump back in surprise. You hadn't expected it to actually work. As far as you can see, it's not plugged into anything. After a few moments, it prints out a small strip of paper. Taking it warily into your hands, you rip it off the strip and read the message.
"WELCOME, NEW USER," the paper says. "YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENTER AN EXCITING NEW WORLD, WHERE ANYTHING MIGHT BE POSSIBLE! MARTIANS INVADING AMERICA, AN EARTH RULED BY SAVAGE APE-MEN, OR EVEN A WOMAN PRESIDENT! THE CHOICE IS YOURS. EVERY WORLD IS UNIQUE, GENERATED FROM THE MIND OF THE USER. PLEASE SELECT YOUR DESIRED FANTASY".
You frown for a moment, before noticing that the array of lights have changed to form words. Each array has a button beneath it, glowing red. You examine your options, wondering what to do next.
