"Your new body is a gift..."
"You will enjoy being with Twila so much..."
"You love this island, and it loves you..."
Such thoughts and more swirled in Perona's mind, pushing her to accept the role that the island was attempting to recruit her for. Several moments passed by, the Ghost Princess's eyes squeezed shut in concentration as she tried to resist the tempting voices, and did her best to ignore the sweets around her and the collection of sweets that she had become. Then a thought that was entirely her own came.
"Maybe it would be fun..." Perona murmured. That moment of weakness was enough, and soon the frosting-haired marshmallow woman was thinking of the island as her home, Twila as her partner for life, and anything and anyone outside the land's sugary borders became wholly unimportant.
"Are you alright?" Twila asked, slightly hesitant for the first time since she appeared, and one of her hands came up to rest on Perona's shoulder comfortingly.
"I feel great!" Perona replied as she turned toward Twila with a bright grin on her face. "I'm sorry for being such trouble, though..."
"Don't worry about it." Twila comforted the new candy girl. "You came around, and we're going to have so much f-" Twila halted mid-sentence, and began turning for one side to another, as if looking for something.
"What is it?" Perona asked.
"Someone else just arrived on the island." Twila answered back. "Feel that?" Perona was confused, but began searching about like Twila was; it was slightly difficult to notice, but the marshmallow girl felt a slight sense of unease when she faced a specific direction.
"Looks like the fun will have to wait, at least between the two of us." Twila went on as she grabbed Perona's hand. "Come on, we should see who it is and determine if we need to do anything about them." The two candy girls rushed toward the source of the unease, Twila leading the way.
