Cool to see a bikini beach thread here, especially involving Ranma. Bikini Beach has always been one of my favourite settings for TG stories.
This will sound like an odd thing to find SOD breaking, but I just can't picture Ranma sunbathing in a girl's swimsuit do to his vanity. I may have to backtrack to where he is naked.
I'm pretty sure we've seen Ranma in a girl's suit in the manga, and maybe even in a bikini. You may be right that he wouldn't sunbathe though.
My point was that we never see Ranma with tan lines, and the logical ramifications of that.
It's not like Ranma cares much about people seeing him nude.
I honestly don't recall seeing any girls with tanlines at any point ever. I assumed it was cuz Rumiko was lazy not due to nude tanning.
Not really about laziness. It just wouldn't have fit the manga well.
Heh, I remember seeing a doujin years ago related to this -- last panel of it featured boy-Ranma in the showers, and another guy's eyes bugging out because boy-Ranma had tanlines of a girl's swimsuit.
