"You're too short to reach this!"

Dictaphone - chapter 25695

It was as if time went back a little - his grip on the dictaphone tightened without him doing anything and Angie stopped trying to hold it.
Peter was a still quite shocked from the encounter. He looked over at Angie, only to see her crouching down slightly.
No wait, he thought, she's becoming smaller!
Angie was becoming shorter in height - she was quickly becoming too short to actually reach the dictaphone at the height he had held it when she tried to get it before.

Yet she didn't seem confused or anything. "So, I guess I could call you Shortie now instead," he said, chuckling at his bad attempt at humor.
"You've always called me Shortie, now give me back my dictaphone!" she yelled. The shrinking seemed to have stopped, but she wasn't much taller than his belly button at this point.

Wait, this thing alters reality itself - she probably doesn't remember!, Peter thought to himself.
"Angie now knows what I've changed within the last minute" he said to the dictaphone.

Suddenly, a look of terror emerged on her face - she stepped back a few feet, looking around herself - everything was so much taller! She looked up at him - he seemed almost twice as tall as her. She saw how he had a smug smile on his face. She looked at the dictaphone - it was higher up than she could reach, yet he only held it up to his neck!

She kept walking back - she took a quick look back to make sure she wouldn't walk onto the road. When she looked back, he was quickly approaching her.
"Alright, let's see what else I can do with thi-", he was cut short by Angie quickly jumping to the side and running. He wasn't sure whether to pursue her or not - but he sure as hell wasn't going to change her back again if she didn't come back.

  1. *He decided to run after her - he wasn't done mocking her.
  2. *Let her be - her choice to be so short.
