Arthur hurried to the classroom and Zoey ran with him with his heavy backpack. At least now that the lesson would start, she would have nothing to do. Or so she thought. When Arthur arrived at his school room, he immediately asked the teacher :
- Hey, I have my sister here as part of a punishment, can she writes all the notes for me on my notebook?
- I'm sorry, what? Your... Sister...?
The teacher was clearly dumbfounded by the sight of the sweaty pajama wearing young girl in his classroom. So Arthur used the dictaphone to help him make his decision.
- You can't have your sis... I mean, sure! Of course. That's good of you to take of your misbehaving sister. Not all brothers care so much about the education of their siblings. Well then, she can write your notes, but still you have to pay attention to the class, okay?
- Alright sir!
The students couldn't believe it. He had his sister writes his notes for him? He just grabbed an extra chair, and listened to the teacher while Zoey was like, working like a secretary? When she had the pen and the notebook, she whispered to Arthur:
- I... Don't know if I can do this. I mean, I'm a middle-schooler, this lesson is gonna be too advanced for me and...
- Not only you can, but you must.
- O... Okay, I'll do my best.
Arthur's fellow students muttered : "What? Really?" "My god, that girl stinks!" "What's with the pigtails, and is that a pajama?" "I guess she must deserve it though..." "Arthur is kind of lucky though." "Yeah not really, I wouldn't want to have to bring my stinky sister to school."
Zoey heard all of it, she heard all the snickering and the laughter, but she tried her best to focus on the lesson. She buried the feelings of embarrassment inside her, and tried to think only about the goal, it was all for her amazing brother.
And so for two hours, Zoey wrote frantically everything she could, as clearly as possible, on Arthur's notebook.
At the end, during recess...
