Howard felt more than just uneasy about the people he was meeting and decided to leave the town of Ovid. He put his sales kit in the trunk of his company car and then drove into town.
He happened to notice a bar at the edge of town and decided to stop in before heading out of town.
Inside it wasn't very well lit and had females running the place. Jim sat down and waited as the bartender, a tall red haired woman, had her back turned to him and was counting money in the cashregister. After several minutes of being ignored, Howard spoke up, trying to get the woman's attention. The third try he stood up off of the bar chair and nearly shouted. The woman turned towards him with an agitated look and then seemed to stop for a second like she realized who he was or somthing. She smiled and said "Oh, you're not from around here, are you."
"Can I just get a drink!" Howard said rudely. The woman forced a smile and said "Sure,,I'll get your waitress." then she called out "Sarah, you have a customer." then she went straight to the phone. Howard thought it odd and tried to hear what the lady was saying. Howard was starlted when the girl Sarah put her hand on his sholder and said "What can I get for you sir?"
Howard turned and looked into the eyes of the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. She seemed to have the same reaction but it was of recognition rather than lust. She smiled and said "Howard,,is that you?!!" Howard was shocked that this gorgeous girl thought she knew him and he responded with "Have we met before?" The girl got closer to him and whispered "It's me, Dave, from the company. I was sent on this route to sell about two months ago."
"This is some kind of a joke." Howard said, having a hard time keeping his eyes off of her ample breasts. She sat in the chair next to him and continued to explain. She told him that she was caught by the officials of Ovid and transformed into a girl. She said that she didn't fit any of the usual placments into the community so they made her a bar slut. Before she could finish explaining, the other woman got off the phone and started getting closer. Sarah warned Howard that he'd allready been identified as an outside and was sure to be assimulated.
