"Your're not from around her are you?" She said with a concerned look.

Howard shook his head slightly and started to open his sales case. The pregnant woman stopped him and said as she put a hand on her swollen belly "You are in grave danger! Leave right away,before..." Then she looked around and whispered "Or you'll end up like me." Then she shut the door and bolted the lock.

Howard stood there for a second trying to make sense of what she had said. The woman peeked out of the window next to the door and motioned for him to leave. Howard put his face to the window and said "Maam, I just don't understand. What do you mean by end up like you?"

The woman cracked open the window just a little and whispered "I used to be a somewhat famous boxer. The tour bus broke down just outside town and the five of us came into town to get help."

Howard squinted his eyes, trying to understand and said "Famous Boxer? I've never met a female boxer." And he smiled. The woman frowned and said "You still don't get it. I was male."

Howard shook his head "Oh,,yeah right." The woman was infuriated by his disbelief and sarcasm and said "My buddies got the same fate. Two are working in the bar and the other two have been place in families."

Howard smiled and looked around, figuring this was a real good practical joke.

The woman was flustered with his attitude and said as she shut the window. "Fine then. You just go about your business. You deserve what's comming to you!"

The curtains shut and Howard was left standing there on the porch.
