"Fifty dollars for a pack of cigarettes?" Jim was outraged."Sharon's never even smoked in her life before last night...there's no way she'll keep it up!At those prices!"

"Oh,but she will.Nobody has ever kicked the habit of smoking our brand of cigarettes.And if you buy a carton it's only $400...like getting two packs free.Better stock up now in case we raise prices."

Jim looked over at Sharon,who was taking a deep drag from her cigarette and only had a couple left.She certainly looked like nothing but a chainsmoking hooker right now.

1. *She decided to do her best to quit immediately.
2. She said she had best buy a pack,and try to taper off before it was done.
3. She decided to buy a carton,hoping to quit before it was finished.
4. *She said she'd buy a carton,shrugging and saying she guessed she was a smoker now and didn't mind.
