Sharon's subconscious decided that she couldn't afford any more paranoia, and led her to the conclusion that Jim was out of this particular bit of the whole mess. [Note: she's actually right on this one. Or so WE think...] Her macabre finding gave her an interesting advantage, though: she knew where the heart attack inducer and microphone were.
Hoping not to make a mess of it, she aimed the clone's electroprod at the place where her inducer presumably was. Since the prod had no controls, she tried to keep her torso out of the water by flapping her tail vigorously and then touched herself with the thing. The pain was incredible and knocked her down solid, her natural buoyancy letting her sleep on the surface while drifting.
Sharon woke up at sunset...
