There was an ugly red weal where Sharon had touched herself with the probe, which she hoped would eventually fade. She had no means of telling whether she had succeeded in disabling the heart attack inducer and microphone, but she hoped so. In any case, she could not repeat the procedure: partly because she couldn't face going through it again, but primarily because whilst she was unconscious the probe had dropped from her fingers and was now presumably lying on the seabed somewhere.
Assuming that she had succeeded, then she she supposed that she should leave the area, since before long the MiG would realised that something was wrong and come looking for her. That was the immediate problem. Her long-term problem was that she only had a limited supply of food in her bag. Whilst she seemed perfectly adapted to her maritime environment in every other way, her digestive system was unchanged, and there was no way that she could eat raw fish. She had enough food for a week or so, but after that...?
Sharon's map only showed the local area, and her knowledge of the geography of the Caribbean was not very good, but she decided to head:
