"Oh, hello there little girl."
The man in the store -- the only place in the abandoned building which didn't seem like it was about to fall apart -- had the appearance of a stereotypical bum. From the way he looked at her, Alicia almost decided to turn back and get to Val lest she gets raped on the spot.
"Your adrenaline reads high. Are you in fear? Is it because of me?"
Val entered the place. It was a veritable mess, a cross between a high tech scrap room and a bric-a-brac shop which just got looted. "Where's Alicia? She's my... she's my little cousin. That little brat ran away again. Come on mister I got to take her home." Alicia hid under a desk, hoping that the unidentified man would back her up.
"On you I instead read anger, young lady. Anger and lies, and disbelief. You are not a relative of the little lady who is under that piece of furniture currently. You may not take away her." the man replied calmly. With a look of sufficience, Val reached under the desk to grab a hold of Alicia but of course got her hand bitten. Before she could get around the desk, the man was already behind her. His grip was gentle but unbreakable. He got a hold of her hips, slowly lifted Val, and carried her at the doorframe (the door itself was long gone)
"I recall this country to be held by the private property system. This is my property and you are not welcome again." the man stated.
Alicia crawled away from the desk and got back up. The man was sitting on a TV frame, obviously waiting for her to say something.
"Thanks."
"You are welcome. What is your name?"
"Alicia. I... I need to... can I see that for a moment?" she asked, pointing at a worn magazine whose cover portrayed Milla Jovovich as seen in The 5th Element.
"Why ask me? You are already seeing it."
Alicia took that for a yes and reached for the magazine. She figured out that the man probably already knew about her transformation abilities, and didn't bother to move out of sight as she blossomed out into full womanhood, taking the athletic shape of Leeloo. For a moment she wondered wether she also got her genetically enhanced strenght and agility, then decided that it would have been easy to figure out. During the whole transformation the man had resumed doing what he was doing before, namely tinkering with a cybernetic cat leg.
"Now I see before me someone who not exists and who came to be so in a way not possible. This is the sixth today." the man commented casually.
"Pardon me?" Alicia asked. She already realized that this person was out of his mind, but she decided to try and find out who the hell this guy was.
"This is the sixth notpossible thing I have experienced today. So why don't you come along with me for lunch?"
"Uh... where? And who are you?"
"Why at Milliways of course. And I am therefore I think. At least when I have not drunk enough to live."
"Okay..."
