"Well, that was a complete waste of time." Midna said irritably as the two returned from the cave that had transformed Link with nothing but dirt on her tunic for their troubles. They had scoured it and the surrounding area for clues, but had come up with nothing, leaving the two at a loss for what to do next.
"Let's just move on for now." Link suggested, attempting to keep her second chin up after being the despondent one earlier. "Let's head up Death Mountain like we had planned before this happened. I might be a woman now, but I'm certain it won't slow me down."
Midna resisted voicing any concerns, instead keeping up a confident visage.
"Sounds like a plan." She agreed. "Let's go get your horse, you don't look like you're in any shape to walk the whole way. Where'd you leave that animal, anyway?"
Suddenly, Link looked horrified.
"I left her at the farm!" She said, putting her face in her hands. "There's no way I'll make it there without somebody seeing me!"
"Maybe if we swap weights they won't be able to tell the difference from a distance?" Midna suggested, but Link was having none of the idea of letting Midna return to her bloated, barely mobile state if she could avoid it.
"I'll be fine, they won't know it's me, after all. I'll just say it's a coincidence." Link said uneasily, but strode awkwardly into the village nonetheless. Her eyes darted around faster than her chest jiggled, having to resist the urge to try to hide her shameful gut with her chubby hands. Fortunately for her, few people seemed to be out at the moment, and Link had almost thought that she was in the clear when a familiar voice called from behind.
"Oh, Link!"
Link froze and jerked around, stammering out excuses on impulse.
"I"msorryyoumustbemistakingmefor-" Link babbled out before stopping awkwardly at the source of the voice's confused face.
"Is there something the matter, Link?" asked Eli, the heavily pregnant wife of Rusl, Link's sword teacher. She seemed slightly confused, but was looking directly at Link's face and not at her body. In fact, she seemed to have no reaction at all to Link's newfound femininity or obesity, puzzled only by Link's reaction.
"Oh, uh, nothing." Link said, wiping her brow of sweat. "What is it?"
"I just wanted to know if the k1ds are alright. You just got back from Kakariko, right?" Eli asked, Link trying to regain her composure.
"Oh, them? They're fine, everybody's just fine." Link reassured her, Eli letting out a sigh of relief.
"I thought so, but I just couldn't help myself. I know it's too dangerous to travel there, but..."
Eli trailed off, rubbing her belly absentmindedly. Link couldn't help but notice sorely that Eli's belly, full with ch1ld, was only slightly larger than her own belly, full with fat.
"I'm sure I don't have anything to worry about with you around." Eli said. "Try to take care of Colin, okay? You know he looks up to you like a big sister."
With that the two parted ways, and as soon as Link left the village and went up the road to the farm she let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Looks like we're the only ones who know you changed." Midna commented from Link's now very roomy shadow. "That solves one problem at least. Plus, it won't be an issue if you don't change back-"
"I'm changing back whether it's a problem or not." Link insisted, and Midna decided to drop the point for now. They soon reached Epona, who had no reaction to Link's new gender. She did however seem less than pleased when Link awkwardly climbed onto her, trotting slowly under the strain of a rider more than twice Link's original weight.
"I don't think this is particularly fair on the horse." Midna commented. "You sure you don't want to change back?"
"I'm sure Epona will be fine." Link said, her big butt spilling over the sides of the saddle. She tried to bring Epona to a canter, but Epona seemed to refuse.
"You're definitely not going to be jumping any fences like this, you know." Midna said, and Link eventually gave in out of guilt.
"Fine, come over here." Link grumbled, doing a poor job at hiding her enthusiasm over embracing Midna and bringing her into a deep kiss, holding it long after she had felt Midna's body fill out into total plushness, her own chest filling out another cup size as a small amount of the weight remained on her body. Epona immediately raised her speed now that she was unburdened, and Link dug her restored high-heels into the stirrups, noting to herself that her seat had been a bit more comfortable when she had been fat...
--
"I'll teach it to you as many times as you want: no humans are allowed to pass!"
Link stared up at the Goron yelling down at her, flat on her back after being hurled off the side of the cliff leading up the Death Mountain trail. She had attempted to wrestle the rolling Goron guard like she had brought charging goats to a halt back in Ordon, but the force and weight was far too much for Link, male or female.
"It's definitely not an issue of strength." Link said defensively to Midna. "I don't think I have the weight to stop him. Maybe if we..."
"I doubt you'll be able to climb up the mountain if you did." Midna shut the idea down, slightly regretting the missed opportunity to sample Link's deliciously soft lips once again. "You got any other bright ideas for getting around that big lump of rock?"
"I remember Mayor Bo saying that he used to wrestle Gorons, and that he even won sometimes." Link said, pulling herself to her feet. "He must have some trick to doing it, there's no way you could step into the ring with a Goron and win otherwise. Let's head back to the village and ask him."
One horse ride later and Link was approaching the mayor of Ordon, asking about any way to defeat a Goron hand to hand.
"Well you're right, I did have a trick." the mayor admitted, scratching his moustache. "It was a special way to equalise the difference in weight and strength between a Goron and a Hylian. But you know, sumo is a man's sport. I'm not sure a young woman like yourself has the physique for it. You're a bit... dainty?"
Bo squirmed as Link gave him a death glare, but refused to budge on the issue. He wouldn't allow a slender young lady like Link into the ring, and that was that.
Link and Midna rendezvoused behind the house, and Midna materialised with a sigh.
"Just get it over with." Midna puckered up with a dramatic sigh as Link locked lips with her, her tongue invading Midna's mouth as her hips expanded, her belly bulged, and her high heels completely flattened out. Link confidently strode back out to the mayor, who was oblivious to the fact that anything had changed at all.
"You're absolutely sure about that?" Link said with her hands on her hips, broader than the stocky mayor. After thinking about it, the mayor conceded.
"I will admit, I've always thought that your body was made for sumo." The mayor said, letting Link inside. "But if you want to know my secret, you'll have to prove that in the ring first!"
--
"Wrestlers, enter the ring!" The mayor called, Link flushed bright red as she awkwardly stepped in, stripped down to a feminine version of her pants as a villager, completely shirtless save for some wrappings to protect her modesty. She was mortified at how her gut sagged and squashed when not contained by a tunic, larger than the fat mayor's own. Nevertheless she entered a fighting pose, ready to prove that she was just as capable as a woman as she had been as a man.
"Ready, and... begin!"
The two's bodies slammed against each other as they wrestled, unable to make much ground thanks to their mutual weights. The two backed out, circling slightly as they tried to gain a superior position. Link gave the mayor a meaty slap to try to throw him off-balance, the mayor managing to stand strong against it. He returned the slap, Link attempting to back away too late.
Link couldn't stop herself from letting out a girly squeal as the mayor's hand roughly slapped her breasts, too large to move out of the way in time. They were sent jiggling, and the mayor froze up as he realised what he did. Link charged forward furiously, easily shoving the unprepared man out of the ring.
"One more time! To really prove it!" The mayor called as Link protectively covered her chest, her face flushed even brighter than when she had walked in.
The rest of the fight proceeded normally, although the mayor's strikes were cautious and easier to avoid now. With her fat thoroughly groped by the mayor's rough hands as the two jockeyed for supremacy, Link eventually gained the upper hand and triumphantly forced him out of the ring, celebrating for a moment before rushing out of the room to put her clothes back on.
"See? Told you it wasn't a strength problem." Link said as she walked out with the mayor's iron boots in hand, the incredibly heavy boots the secret to withstanding the strength of the Gorons. Although embarrassed, she attempted to take it in stride and use it to get over some of her insecurities over her newfound womanhood, even if it had required her becoming fat to do so.
"Well, we'd better change back now." Link said, ready for her victory kiss with Midna, who was less than eager.
"You know we can't be making a habit out of this, right? You're just going to need to change back later anyway." Midna pointed out, Link's face falling at being denied her kiss.
"Come on, you know it's not fair on Epona, right?" Link gave Midna eyes that were far too adorable for what she expected from the formerly male hero, and her defences broke down. She allowed herself to be given a passionate kiss, wondering if Link was started to get addicted to it, and if she was also part of the problem.
And speaking of the problem, Midna couldn't help but notice that the effects of swapping back and forth so flippantly were starting to leave their mark on the hero. Midna could see that her gut was starting to bulge from the front of her tunic, and her face was starting to look on the rounded side. So far it was just her chest that was most noticeably larger, but her thighs were starting to catch up. Midna had noticed that her own belly was looking a bit bigger than before when it was her turn to be the skinny one. She hoped that they could find a cure to this curse before the line between fat and thin was starting to blur...
