Kaori was forced to put aside the matter of the panties by the sound of approaching footsteps. She spun around and hid the panties behind her back just as a new face appeared at the washroom door.

The other woman coughed politely. Kaori jerked her gaze up so she was looking at the woman's face. That really shouldn't have been an afterthought, should it? "Isn't it wonderful to be employed as a maid? I've been working towards this for a long time, so I'm quite excited now that its my first day on the job!"
"I hadn't given it much thought..." Kaori replied cautiously. It occurred to her that she was still hiding a pair of stolen panties behind her back. Did they belong to the woman in front of her? If she was wearing panties with a slit like that up her skirt, wouldn't they be visible?
Kaori wasn't sure.
"No need to think about it, I guess! Life's an adventure, or something like that!"

"My name's Nao, by the way. What's yours?"

"Kaokichi?"
"What are you-"
