"See that guy in purple over there?" Jim said. "Apparently I'm his assistant or something."

"Oh! That's kind of awkward." Then she realised that, as the man's assistant, Jim would probably be privy to his plans. "Although come to think of it, it could be very helpful."

"Why? Do you want an introduction to him or something?"

"Quite the reverse. You could say that I'm very anxious not to make his acquaintance. You see, I think he plans to kidnap me."

"What! Are you sure you're not being paranoid?"

1. Sharon briefly explains.
2. Sharon sees the purple-robed man casting suspicious glances in their direction, no doubt wondering why his assistant should be talking to her, and hurriedly breaks off their conversation.
