Jim decided to humour what he thought must be an insane, and possibly dangerous, Sharon. "Since you do exist, doesn't that mean that it's inevitable that you will be successful in your mission?" he asked, having read many SF stories the utilised this sort of time anomaly. "In any case, surely its success or otherwise is part of the historical record?"
