Jim hurried all the way to the living room, but didn't see the other Sharon anywhere. But then he heard movement coming from the kitchen. Ha! He had her! Whoever she was ...
But imagine his surprise when the person he found in the kitchen, rummaging through the refrigerator, presumably looking for a snack, wasn't Sharon at all, but rather himself!
The other Jim turned around and immediately dropped a pudding cup, upon seeing himself standing behind him, at the entrance to the kitchen. "What ... how can this be?"
"Who are you? What are you?" Jim asked. Was this the Sharon that he had let into the house? Was she some sort of shapeshifter? Who did she think she was fooling with this charade? If she wanted Jim to think that nothing was out of the ordinary, why change to look exactly like him?
"I'm Jim McNutt. Who are you? Because I know you're not me," the other Jim said.
"Oh, come on. Drop the act. You think I'm grotesquely stupid, or something? I'm Jim McNutt," Jim said. "You're the impostor."
"Impostor? If anyone's an impostor, it's you. Just tell me what's going on. Who are you, really? What are you?"
Jim was stunned. He was starting to think that maybe this other Jim really was him, somehow. After all, it seemed like he really believed he was the real Jim. Unless, that was part of the deception of the impostor. But why bother looking just like him? What was the impostor trying to accomplish by this kind of deception?
