5 seems to be the funniest and most interesting option. If one knows about the effect and ends up triggering it by mistake, would they still know about it or would they think that all the naked women were wearing clothes (including themselves) or would they think that they've always been like how they are now but be aware of the transformation of others?
Da Xiao is the smartest fictional on the addventure.
It does raise the question of just what the curse considers 'telling'.
"Beyond these doors, there is a situation which is not to be acknowledged under any circumstances."
With option one, it would be hilarious if the daughters being presented see that the "emperor" is a naked woman and yet decide to say nothing and roll with it. After all, it's unlikely that they've actually seen the emperor before, so for all they know she's always looked this way and people describe her as a clothed man because she decreed it at some point in the past; sovereigns have demanded crazier stuff. Plus, any daughter suitable to be a concubine is bound to be politically-savvy enough to realise she shouldn't speak out against a monarch.
Of course, their not speaking out will likely result in their being the concubines of a gorgeous and insatiable naked lesbian. Whether they're dismayed or secretly happy about that will presumably depend on their preferences.
On an unrelated note, I for some reason love the idea of Da Xiao getting used to Xiao Da's new appearance almost immediately and just continuing on their friendship as if absolutely nothing had changed.
Finally got a chance to read this. Awesome job WS.
And 4th anon, I agree. Da Xiao and Xiao Da are hilarious and I want them to stay friends.
