Edith realized that she was home alone: her parents were at work, and Jim was at one of his friend's houses probably working on some geeky science project of his, leaving her alone with Rover, the family's black lab, Jim's lab in the basement, and whatever else she felt like doing.

1. She calls up her boyfriend for a little fun...
2. She calls up some of her girlfriends to come and hang out...
3. Rover who always sleeps at the foot of her bed, wakes up...
