"Welcome to Sweetheart Confectionary," the woman at the door said as Akane entered the door. There was a polite smile on her face. "We hope for all our customers to leave a sweeter, more exotic woman than they entered."
"Okay, thank you," Akane said with a shrug and a smile. It wasn't any stranger than a lot of other greetings stores had. "I'm just looking for some snacks for a study party tonight."
"Oh, well, we don't usually carry snack food," the woman said. "We more specialize in full out deserts."
"You don't have anything?" Akane asked, she glanced outside and rolled her eyes at Ranma watching her from across the street.
"Well, we have a few things," the shopkeeper said thoughtfully. "Not our normal fare, they're a bit less...subtle than our normal fare, but we tried to branch out a bit."
She directed Akane over to a table that had a number of boxed chocolates and cakes.
"Well, first we have these devil's food and angel's food cakes," the woman said. "And then there are these fudge bunnies left over from Easter..." she noticed Akane's confused face. "It's an American thing, chocolate bunnies for Easter."
"Okay," Akane said. "I hadn't realized that."
"In any case, we also have some American Girl Scout cookies," the woman continued. "But like I said, these are rather less our fare, so you might try one of our normal desserts."
"Well, I think..."
