There she was. His angel, his love, his life less walking into the classroom and more floating on etheral wings. The other faces around her just melted into nothing, such that none but the two of them sat there in the classroom. If only that were true. If only the two of them were alone, then he might somehow find the courage to speak his mind. She alone was the reason he was making such an effort in class these days. His theory went that if he improved to the point where he got to move in with the snobs at the blue's boys dorm, he'd be a little bit closer to her... and there would be less whispers, less shame associated with her dating him. He hated to have to leave his friends behind, but he hated the idea of being seperate from her, or causing her discomfort even more.

His gaze averted back to the paper in front of him. She'd looked in his direction and caught him staring! Oh, but what must she think of him? Well, perhaps nothing. She was considered the beauty of the school for good reason, and he wanted to punch the air in thanks for letting them at least be friends, for at least giving him the opportunity to get to know her well enough to fall in love. Now, if the universe would see fit to helping them advance that relationship a little further, he'd be quite happy with that.

"He looked at me!" Alexis squeeled, almost bouncing up and down on Jasmine's bed from the happiness. "I went to check him out, and he got this adorable little panicked look on his face and looked down at this notes with the cutest little blush!"

"Oh, that's great! But you've not won him yet!" Mandy admonished. She exchanged a look with Jasmine, neither of them having much success at keeping their excitement in check. Here she was, the most desired girl in the entire acadamy, asking for tips on how to seduce someone. Sure, she could do better than a Slifer, but one cannot choose where one's heart leads. Besides which, he was a pretty damned good duellist by all accounts. A relationship between the two of them could only help them both out!

"She's right you know," Jasmine said, sitting on the bed jsut to the other side of Alexis from Mandy. "He looked at you, but then he looked away because he thought you didn't want him looking."

"You do want him looking, though. Right?" Mandy asked. Alexis just blushed, clasped her hands in her lap and gave a single, curt nod. The first problem they had to deal with was obvious enough. So long as Alexis was shy and withdrawn, she'd never quite manage to land Jaden's attention firmly on her. Unless they altered how she approached the problem into some other means, like for instance -

"Think of it like a duel!" Mandy said, and Jasmine's eyes betrayed first curiousity, but then dawning understanding with a little behind-Alexis'-back prompting to assist. "It's all about strategy, breaking through your opponent's resolve."

Alexis nodded along for a bit, taking in the metaphor and mulling it over in her Jaden addled mind. "No," she finally said. "It's not that easy! It can't be that easy!" She fell back onto the bed and stared at a particular spot in the ceiling, smiling at an image of her true love that she alone could see. "I wish seduction really was like duelling," she said, not noticing the glow coming from her friend's pocket. "Then it'd be a a whole lot simpler..."

  1. With a subtle shift in reality, Alexis prepares her "seduction deck" with the help of her friends.
  2. *Later, Alexis and Jaden meet up.
  3. The seduction lesson continues, and another wish is made.
  4. Jaden tries to hide his crush from the others, knowing they'll rib him for it.
