Unending BE - episode 763382

The office looked precisely like whatever one would expect from your typical detective. A desk up against the window, light streaming down on it through the blinds. Atop the desk sat a lamp, some pictures, some stationary, a globe. The usual sorts of things you'd expect.

There were bookcases stuffed full of books on just about every subject one could imagine. Every last one read a dozen times. A computer lay in the corner of the room, with another next to it. One was used to store sensitive information on past and current cases, while the other was connected to the Internet.

Then there was the couch in the middle of the room. Pretty comfortable couch. Intended for clients - prospective and actual - to sit and recline and discuss the case with the agency. Right now, there was not a client sitting there. Instead it was a member of that agency. The assistant detective Kimitada Ichiyusai.

Kimitada was wringing his hands and thinking about just what he'd gotten himself into, deciding to work in this place. Ever since he could remember, he'd wanted to be a detective. People told him "you'll spend half your time chasing up lost cats!" or "get ready to spend your time taking pictures of couples cheating on one another!"

Both were okay with him. When he said he wanted to be a detective, he knew exactly what that meant. Always did. He knew he wouldn't be spending his time chasing down dangerous criminals or helping the police with their investigations... Much. Once in every ten blue moons would such an unlikely event occur. That wasn't why he wanted to do this. It never was. He could never explain it so that anyone else could understand, but he wanted to be just an ordinary detective. Hence his application to the Kuwabara detective agency. He'd seen the advert and jumped in feet first, feeling that it would give him ample experience that would come in handy later on.

Indeed it had. Rule 1: Never jump in feet first. It wasn't the only lesson he'd learned, and a lot of what had happened would certainly help in future. There was just one... Make that two problems.

Here came one of them now, humming a cheery song. Fresh out of the shower, clad in naught but a towel. A creature of beauty, an angel with curly blonde hair and an expression of ultimate innocence. He was sure, no, he was absolutely positive that some men would kill for the opportunity to see this just for a scant second. This woman was a natural femme fatale, judged entirely by her body, by the way she moved. This was his employer. This was Yukiko Kuwabara.

"Ah!" Yukiko gasped, seeing Kimitada for the first time. "You're early today, Kimitada!"

"I arrive at this time every day," Kimitada replied, taking great care not to look at the way her breasts were bouncing underneath that towel as she skipped towards him happily.

"Is that so?" Yukiko giggled as she sat next to him on the couch. "So what's new with you?" she asked, all carefree innocence.

Kimitada opened his mouth to respond, and then noticed something that stopped him cold. The towel was slipping. He could very nearly see her nipple. What the hell does he do now? Point it out to her? Say, "Oh Yukiko, my gaze keeps on slipping down to your magnificent breasts and I happened to notice that your towel was making a very poor effort at keeping them hidden?" No no no! That was right out! He would simply pretend that he hadn't noticed!

But then what would happen when she realised it herself? "Ah, Kimitada! How long was it like that? You naughty, naughty pervert! Why didn't you say something?"

Compounding the issue yet further was the fact that his libido was whispering in his ear all this time. "Stare at her! She wants you to look. Go on, take an eyeful!" But no, he could not listen to this voice! Yukiko was his employer! His employer! That would be a completely innappropriate relationship! How could he possibly put her down as a recommendation if they started going out?

"Oh, I see your girlfriend is recommending you?" or possibly worse if they broke up "She claims that you are the scum of the earth, and she hopes you get attached to a trebuchet and slung into an active volcano." And the silly thing was, Yukiko was surely hotter than any volcano!

"Teasing him again, are we?" another, much sterner voice said. A pair of hands were tugging Yukiko's ears, while another tugged the towel into a far more modest position. "Go and get changed! I just got a call from a prospective client. They'll be here soon, so get going!"

"Eh!" Yukiko gasped, rubbing at her ears. "A client? Why didn't you say! Be right back!"

And just like that, Yukiko was gone. Bouncing off to her room to get changed, humming a happy tune as she went. Kimitada stared up at his other problem. The stern serious secretary, Hanae Ikina. She brushed a stray strand of her raven hair behind her ear and glowered down at him. In response, Kimitada could do naught else but nervously gulp.

"If you have time to play," she began, before descending onto the couch, seating herself on his lap in the blink of an eye. "Then why don't you play with me?"

"W-we shouldn't!" he stammered, trying to push her away. In response she seized his wrists and pressed his hands against her breasts. "D-dating in the workplace is -is always a bad idea!"

"Who wants to date? I'm looking for a roll in the hay."

"That's even worse!"

"Ta-da!" Yukiko declared, fully dressed in her trademark clothes. A tight grey jumper that had sleeves just a little too long for her, jeans (dark blue today, it seemed) and her trademark fedora. "Um, what were you guys just doing?"

Kumitada froze, unsure of what to say. Mercifully, he was rescued by his second tormentor, Hanae. "He had an eyelash in his eye. I helped him to remove it."

These were the people he had to work with if he was to have a future as a detective. A seductive secretary that would only show any sign of affection while they were alone together, and a ditzy detective with an irresistable charm... That was even before he got into the unusual nature of this agency he was working for. Just what sort of client had they acquired today?

  1. Crimes committed by supernatural entities.
  2. Discovering a person's deepest desires.
  3. Keeping the existance of something secret.
  4. *Cases involving science fiction elements
  5. Something else
