Akane WR: What Kind of Body?

"I wish I understood Ranma better…and he understood me," a frustrated Akane declared, clueless as to how thoroughly that statement would reshape her life.

Of the countless ways one could interpret that comment, among the most obvious suggests that a swap of some sort would be in order. For how better to allow two people to understand one another than to let (that is, force) them walk in one another's shoes…either figuratively or literally?

Thus it was that the Tendo girl's unhappy words would lead to an exchange—one of bodies, in this case. But once again, the question arises of how the term should be construed. What kind of "body"? In whole, or in part? The possibilities are virtually endless.

1. A complete body swap: Mind/soul in the other's form. (But who has the Wishing Rock?)
2. Swapping faces only: Looking out at the world through another's eyes.
3. *Genitalia only, though perhaps with accompanying desires: Glimpsing another's urges.
4. Exchanging the "body" of experience and/or knowledge: Ranma loses skills, but also the Neko-ken…and possibly the curse? (Cue redheaded Akane.)
5. A swap of the "body" of personal traits: Akane gains Ranma's personality, and Ranma Akane's.
6. Some other exchange takes place.
